4. Appointments and Scheduling

4.1 Booking

Appointments must be made by telephone or WhatsApp. We do not offer online booking. This ensures we can properly assess your needs and allocate appropriate time for your treatment.

4.2 Appointment Times

Our standard operating hours are:

• Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00 (last patient at 16:00)
• Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00 (strictly by appointment)
• Sunday: Closed

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in shortened treatment time or rescheduling, depending on the practice schedule.

4.3 Emergency Appointments

Emergency appointments are accommodated where possible, subject to availability. An emergency surcharge applies to emergency consultations. If we are fully booked, we will refer you to a trusted colleague for immediate attention.

5. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that circumstances change. However, last-minute cancellations and no-shows deprive other patients of appointment slots and impact the practice's ability to operate sustainably.

We request that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the slot to another patient in need.

Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in the requirement of a deposit for future bookings or refusal of further appointments.

6. Fees and Payment

6.1 Fee Structure

Our fees are based on standard dental tariff guidelines and are discussed with you before treatment commences. We are committed to delivering experienced, high-quality care at fair and transparent rates.

6.2 Payment Terms

• Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made
• We accept cash, card payments, and EFT
• Medical aid claims are submitted on your behalf where applicable
• You remain responsible for any shortfall or co-payment not covered by your medical aid
• Outstanding accounts older than 30 days may incur interest charges and be handed to a debt collection agency

6.3 Medical Aid

We work with most medical aid schemes. However, medical aid payments are often delayed and may not cover the full cost of treatment. You are responsible for confirming your benefits and coverage with your medical aid provider. We do not guarantee medical aid reimbursement.

7. Treatment Consent

Before any treatment, we will explain the proposed procedure, expected outcomes, potential risks, alternatives, and associated costs. You will be required to provide informed consent before treatment begins.

For minor patients (under 18 years), consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian.

You have the right to refuse treatment or seek a second opinion at any time.

8. Patient Responsibilities

As a patient of our practice, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete medical and dental history
• Inform us of any changes to your health status or medications
• Attend appointments on time or provide adequate notice of cancellation
• Follow post-treatment instructions and attend follow-up appointments as recommended
• Treat our staff with courtesy and respect at all times
• Settle your account in accordance with our payment terms

We reserve the right to refuse service to any patient who behaves in an abusive, threatening, or disrespectful manner toward our staff or other patients.

9. Intellectual Property

10. Limitation of Liability
